• Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome

• Saddle Pad Controversy
  You may be aware of some saddle pad advertising from Professional's Choice Sports Medicine Products and their claims regarding their saddle pads compared to their competitors.  Please take a moment to read the attached letter from Key Bray, president of Equibrand which should give you some insight on this subject.  Click Here to review Equibrand's comments regarding this issue.
   

• RFD-TV Features NCHA Hall of Fame Rider, Roger Warner
  NCHA Hall of Fame rider, Roger Warner, was featured in this past week's episode (October 26th) of Rode to the Winner's Circle.
  
  We hope you have had the chance to catch some of these episodes featuring our Ambassadors.  NRHA Inside Reining airs each Monday night, so it's just as close as your Dish or Direct TV satellite.  (Direct TV 379 and Dish Network 9409). Each program is run three times and the program runs Mondays at 4:30 pm, 10:30 pm EST and Tuesdays at 8:30 am EST.  Check the RFD-TV website (www.rfdtv.com) often to see schedule of upcoming programs.
    

• Animal Makeover™ TV
  Animal Makeover™ TV airs on RFD-TV on Tuesday's at 7:00 pm CST (started May 1st).  You can view clips from the show and find additional resources at our website, www.BetterAnimals.com.  For more details about Better Animals® and this exciting TV show, Click Here.
   

• Darren Chiacchia Finishes Fourth at Pan American Games

• Todd Minikus Has Perfect Day at Hampton Classic Horse Show
  After Todd's Bronze Medal win at this summer's Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, he won both Open Jumper classes in the Grand Prix ring at the Hampton Classic.  Click Here for details on this premier show.
   
• Candice King Captures Win at HITS Saugerties
  Candice King and Tarco won the $75,000 In The Woods Log Homes Grand Prix at HITS Saugerties.  Click Here for show details and pictures.
   
• Dell Hendricks Takes Reining to Denmark
  After two years of planning, Dell Hendricks left Tioga, Texas in mid-July and headed to Tuse Creek Ranch in Denmark to hold a reining clinic.  It turned out to be an informative clinic that was fun for everyone.  Click Here for more details.
   
• Matt Gaines Wins at Brazos Bash
  Zacks Little Bowman, a 6-year-old grandson of Bowmans Fancy, scored 222 points to win the Brazos Bash Open Cutting Classic in Weatherford, TX on September 26.  The son of Zack T Wood, ridden by Matt Gaines, was one of two Open Classic finalists out of the Bowmans Fancy daughter, Bowmans Little Jewel.  The Bowmans Fancy son, Bowmans Cat Man, was also a finalist.
   
• Quintan Blue and Roger Wagner Unstoppable!
  With her win in the Open Classic at the SouthPoint show in Las Vegas this week, gritty mare Quintan Blue matched Copaspepto as the only four-time winners of major Open finals in this calendar year.  Ridden by Roger Wagner, Quintan Blue has earlier Open wins in 2007 at Abilene, the Breeder's Invitational, and the NCHA Classic Challenge.  She also won in the Amateur division for owner Jon Winkelried at Memphis and the Breeder's Invitational.
  
  Meanwhile, with her projected earnings from the Brazos Bash and SouthPoint, Quintan Blue's career total is less than $6,000 shy of the $600,000 mark.  That will move her into seventh place in the National Cutting Horse Association's all-time standings!  And only two mares, Meradas Little Sue and Little Badger Dulce, have topped $600,000.
   

• Endorse Only Purina
  In regard to endorsing other products or supplements, I've noticed that some of you have been endorsing other supplements.  THIS IS A DIRECT CONFLICT OF YOUR CONTRACT!  I would advise not to endorse any other supplement or you will be at risk of being terminated from the Purina Mills Ambassador program. 
  
  Here is the agreement specifications on endorsing or promoting feeds or supplements:
              2.5       Endorse Only Purina     Influential Person hereby agrees that during the term of this agreement, Influential
                          Person shall not 1) endorse or otherwise promote any livestock or domestic animal feed and/or supplement
                          other than Purina's; or 2) promote, through advertisement, word of mouth, or otherwise, the corporate
                          image of any competitor of Purina's.  In the event Influential Person breaches the provisions set forth in
                          this paragraph, Purina may immediately terminate this Agreement with no further liability hereunder.
  
  Be sure to call me if you have any questions on this.
   
• Keep Your Sales Leads Coming!
  For those of you sending in your lead sheets, thanks!  We are having some great conversations and contacts with your sales leads.  This is what it’s all about.  Keep them coming!
   
• If Given the Opportunity, Let People Know Who Sponsors You!
  Take advantage of it, let people know who sponsors you!  I’ve noticed several of you have been gracious enough to plug your sponsors, including Purina Mills.  Let the public know who you endorse.  Give us a little plug or two; let us know you appreciate your sponsors! .
   
• Reporting
  Be sure to keep me posted on what you are doing!  You’ve got our expectations and responsibilities for each of you, so help me make my life easier at the end of the year at evaluation time.  Keep me informed on what you’ve been doing to promote Purina Mills and keep sending in your sales leads.  Sell and promote Purina Mills!
