• December 5-7   Women LUV Horses^® Celebration of Horses and Women, Industry Hills Expo Center, City of Industry, CA (near Los Angeles).  This event was created to inspire, educate and empower women, young ladies, and little girls in their lives with horses and beyond.  The event also features an educational forum of demonstrations, workshops, seminars, and trade show geared to women and their horse passion.  Guest speakers include women role models in the equestrian and professinal world.  To learn more details, Click Here and Here or visit www.lynnpalm.com website for updated news.

• Animal Makeover™ TV
  Animal Makeover™ TV airs on RFD-TV on Tuesday's at 7:00 pm CST (started May, 2007).  You can view clips from the shows and find additional resources at our website, www.BetterAnimals.com. 
   

• RFD TV Monday Night Live
  We hope you have had the chance to catch some of these episodes featuring our Ambassadors.  NRHA Inside Reining airs each Monday night, so it's just as close as your Dish or Direct TV satellite.  (Direct TV 379 and Dish Network 9409). Each program is run three times and the program runs Mondays at 4:30 pm, 10:30 pm EST and Tuesdays at 8:30 am EST.  Check the RFD-TV website (www.rfdtv.com) often to see schedule of upcoming programs.

• Abilene Spectacular Wrap Up
  Eddie Flynn rode Marvine Ranch's Cherry Chex Dually, by Hes A Peptospoonful, to a win in the 4-year-old Open division of the $75,000-added Abilene Spectacular. Im Countin Checks, ridden by Matt Gaines for Kyle Manion, won the 5/6-year-old Open finals. Non-Pro winners were Beau Galyean riding Tassa Cat in the 4-year-old class, and Steve Anderson on Guys Little Jewel in the 5/6-year-old class. Kippi Cogdell won the 4-year-old Amateur on Dual With Lena while Denver Mead took the older division on The Magic Dance Man. • Kory Pounds Scores at Augusta Futurity
  The $230,000-added money Augusta Futurity concluded last weekend. Cats Quixote Jack won the Open division of the Western Horseman Cup presented by Gist Silversmiths under Kory Pounds, and the Non-Pro division under Michelle Anderson. Arthur Noble's NCHA Futurity champion High Brow CD made it two in a row in the Augusta Futurity with Austin Shepard up.  (Click on hyperlinks shown for more details.)
   
• Laura Kraut Wins $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup III
  Laura Kraut of Wellington, FL, won the WEF Challenge Cup III during week four of the 12-week CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising and held at Palm Beach.  Click Here for details as reported by Phelps Equestrian Sports.
   
• Ashley Holzer and Pop Art Claim Victory in Grand Prix Special CDI-W
  No question that Ashley and Pop Art were on top of their game at this event.  Click Here for details as reported by Phelps Equestrian Sports.
   
• Laura Kraut Tops $8,000 Powerice Competition in Wellington
  With a total of 43 horses attempting the track, 11 jumped fault-free and advanced to the jump-off.  Three of those horses belonged to Laura, including Nocturnal who was double clear in a time of 34.777 seconds to take the win.  Click Here for details reported by Equestrian Sport.  Click Here for second-day results.
   
• Ashley Holzer & Pop Art Win First Dressage Grand Prix in PBIEC's International Arena
  Ashley's nine-year-old son, Harry, encouraged her as she was seeking berth in her third Olympics . . . "You'd better give it your all, Mom.  It may be your last chance," he told Ashley.  For more details as reported by Equestrian Sport, Click Here.
   
• Darren Chiacchia Suffers Accident at Red Hills Horse Trials
  A somber tone was brought to the March trials at Red Hills, when Darren was thrown from his horse, Baron Verdi, and suffered a major head injury.  For more details, Click Here.
   
• U.S. Reigns Supreme in $50,000 Battle of the Nations
  Candice King and Cascador crossed the finish line first in the Match Race; and when Laura Kraut and Likido jumped all four rounds clearly in the Six-Bar competition, the United States pulled ahead for victory.  Click Here for details.
   
• Todd Minikus and Olinda Win $30,000 WEF Challenge
  Todd and Olinda achieved victory in this Challenge Cup in the Suncoast Internationale of the Tampa Equestrian Festival, held the end of March.  This was the first show back for Olinda in almost two weeks since she competed in the final leg of the Olympic Show Jumping Trials.  The time off must certainly have refreshed her!  Click Here for story.
   
• Aaron Vale Rides Blue Danube to Victory in the $100,000 DeLuca Toyota Tundra Grand Prix
  While 44 of the 46 starters in the first round were tripped on the course designed by Florencio Hernandez, Aaron Vale and Patty Stovel advanced to the jump-off.  Aaron had won the $100,000 class two years in a row in 2005 and 2006 -- and while Aaron and Blue Danube had a hard rub on the first jump, they cruised through the rest of the course.  Click Here for details as reported by HITS.
   
• USEF Names Show Jumping Short List for the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong

• Canadian Ashley Holzer Qualifies for Canadian Olympic Team at 2008 Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI-W/Y
  Canadians Ashley Holzer and Jacqueline Brooks know one thing for certain -- they'll be going to Hong Kong.  Holzer and Pop Art scored a 73.083, earning them the first place in the class of more than 30 Grand Prix competitors.  Click Here for more details as reported by Dressage Daily.
          
• John French and Tache Rouge Reunited to Score a Victory in the $10,000 ASG Software Solutions/USHJA International Hunter Derby Classic at HITS Thermal
  "I knew that horse would be super," said French.  French and his mount achieved the top score in both the first and second rounds, which secured them the victory.  For more details, Click Here.
    
• Laura Kraut and Miss Independent Win Again in $25,000 CN Jumper Classic
  Laura and Miss Independent made their second trip to the winner's circle during the week as they beat a field of 11 in the jump-off for the $25,000 CN Humper Classic, during week eight of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival at Palm Beach.  For details and comments on this event, Click Here.
        
• Serious Horseplay:  Matt Gaines

• Matt Gaines Tops $5 Million!
  Six days before his 39th birthday, at January's Abilene Spectacular Cutting, Matt Gaines became the third person to earn more than $5 million riding horses.  To read Matt's comments on this milestone and how he got there, Click Here for a review by Mark Thompson.
   
• Laura Kraut and Anthem Take Huge Paycheck with $500,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte, CSI 5* Victory
  In some of the most exciting show-jumping action the U.S. has seen, it was Laura and Anthem who stayed clear through three rounds to win the $500,000 Grand Prix of Charlotte.  Click Here for a detailed review of this great victory!
