Cookbooks
We have 3 fundraiser cookbooks that are full of yummy recipes and the money goes to wonderful causes! They are all just $10 each - Lucky Spur Saddle Club, Oskaloosa; Bone Appetit First Helping (Helping Hands Humane Society, Topeka); and Jefferson County Humane Society Cook book.

Here’s a recipe from the Lucky Spur Saddle Club Cookbook that I made for the staff on January 1 when we did inventory and they loved it:

Old Santa Fe Soup
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion chopped
1 lb Velveeta cheese
1 can Rotel tomatoes & green chilies
1 can tomato sauce
1 can corn
1 can pinto beans

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain grease. Add canned ingredients to meat. Cut cheese in chunks and add to soup. (Can melt cheese in microwave and then add to soup mixture to cut down on cooking time.) Heat well and serve with chips.

We pre-cook the meat and then mix everything together and heat it in a crock pot to serve at the store. Fast, easy and good!

Drop Off Point for KSU Equestrian Team Tack Donations
The KSU Equestrian Team is in need of good, clean, used or new English and Western tack and grooming supplies. Especially needed are snaffle bits, leather chin straps, headstalls, reins, saddles (for short people) and show clothes. This fall when you clean out your tack room or horse trailer, think of the KSU Equestrian Team and bring your items to Roy Frey Western. We will get them to Head Coach, Teresa Slough. Your support with this tack drive is greatly appreciated.
