Proper Fitting of Helmets – from Ridecamp@endurance.net
1. When the helmet is rocked backwards and forwards, eyebrows and skin on the
forehead should move with the helmet.
2. The back of the harness should be snug enough to keep the helmet from
moving forward.
3. The side straps should meet just below and in front of your earlobes.
4. Helmet should be level and sit ¾ to 1 inch above eyebrows.
5. The throat strap should go under your chin and should be snug, but not
tight.
6. Helmets should be replaced after a direct impact from a fall.
Roy Frey is proud to carry Troxel helmets in many colors and styles.
A Poem from my “Extreme Friend” – Kate
When your day seems out of balance and so many things go
wrong—
When people around you fight and the hours seem long—
When adults act like children and fill you with remorse—
Go out to the pasture, wrap your arms around your horse.
His gentle breath enfolds you as he watches with those eyes.
He doesn't have a PHD but he is oh so wise.
His head rests upon your shoulder; you embrace him good and tight.
He puts your world in balance and makes it seem so right.
Your tears will stop flowing, the tension will ease.
The nonsense has been lifted.
You are quiet and in peace.
So when you need some balance from the stresses in your day…
The best therapy you can seek is out there eating hay!!
